Groundbreak Films take us to 'The Other Side'

The film poster is very much part of the marketing plan behind a movie; a good poster will draw you in regardless of whether you know anything about the film or not. Such is the case with the above terrific poster, by Graham Humphreys, for the UK short The Other Side. The art of the poster is slowly dying, yet there are some artists out there determined to keep them alive and kicking, and for that I applaud them. I'm done with boring, run of the mill one sheets that have never been without shouting distance of an artist, and hope to see more of this quality in the future. The Other Side is directed by The Santoro Brothers, and below you can check out the synopsis, some stills and the trailer. Looks good to me!

The Santoro Brothers have previously worked on movies such as Harry Potter and The Wolfman, and have also directed the Carlsberg 'Eve' promo as well as directing The Wrap for MTV. The Other Side, which stars Nick Moran, from Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, is their first film.

When a fresh faced nanny arrives at her new job on a creaky farm in the English countryside, she is instantly caught up in the turbulent relationship of her employers. James is struggling to provide for his family and Rachel, an inexperienced mother, is unable to cope with the demands of her new born baby. Unaware of his wife’s decision to hire help, a disgruntled James leaves them alone in the secluded farmhouse. When night falls and he fails to return, a sinister intruder invades the property, unraveling a night of gruesome blood-shed and unprecedented terror. But who is behind it? What do they want? Can anybody escape alive?
