Filthy Review - Corman's World: Exploits of a Hollywood Rebel

Corman’s World: Exploits of a Hollywood Rebel (2011)

Review by Jude Felton

It must be said that there are a lot of documentaries out there, covering all manner of subjects, with some being far more worthy than others. In the world of film if anyone deserved to have one made about them, it is without a doubt Roger Corman. The man has been around for what seems like forever, in fact he had made his 100th movie seven years before I was born, and he is still making them now. Talk about prolific, Roger Corman wrote the damned book on the subject!

Machine Gun Preacher - Blu-ray and DVD release details

It has to be said, I do enjoy the majority of Gerard Butler's movies, although I wasn't too enamored with Phantom of the Opera. Nonetheless, come June 5th his latest flick, Machine Gun Preacher, will be landing on Blu-ray and DVD from Twentieth Century Fox. In the film Gerard Butler plays a former drug dealer who ends up going to Africa and helping kidnapped and orphaned children.

Malcolm McDowell plays Satan in Suing The Devil

Suing The Devil, which stars Malcolm McDowell as Satan, is set to hit On-Demand on April 6th. The film, which is directed by Tim Chey, is about a law student who sues the Devil, and gets more than he bargains for. Sounds like fun to me!

The film stars Chloe Grace Moretz, who I am sure genre fans will recognize from Let Me In, and is soon to be seen in the new version of Carrie, as a teenager who leaves behind her parents and heads for Vegas.

Cirkus Columbia coming to DVD - Artwork, Details and Trailer

What's the phrase, you wait hours for a bus and then two come at once? Well, I can't say I have ever seen a film set in Bosnia before, then yesterday I watched Angelina Jolie's In the Land of Blood and Honey and now I have news on a film that is actually Bosnian.

Time for Detention!

Mixing horror and comedy always tends to be a hit or miss affair. When they work they tend to work incredibly well and the same could be said about the flipside of that. Now I have news about the release a new horror/comedy entitled Dentention which, judging from the trailer I saw a few months back, does indeed look quite funny.
