'End of Watch' coming to Blu-ray and DVD in January

Cop drama, End of Watch, will be hitting Blu, DVD, Digital and UltraViolet from Universal on January 22nd. The film stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Pena, and is from the writer of Training Day, David Ayer. From the previews I have seen it looks to be along the lines of the excellent TV series Southland with added bells and whistles. Hopefully I shall be reviewing it a little nearer to its release date.

Shot from the point of view of police officers, gang members, surveillance cameras, dashboard cams and citizens caught in the line of fire, End of Watch uses gritty handheld footage to create a powerful story of family, friendship, honor and courage among the brave men and women protecting our city streets. Marlow Stern of Newsweek calls the film “Riveting!  The best cop movie in years,” while Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times, says End of Watch is “Great!”
