'Outpost: Black Sun' coming to Blu-ray and DVD

November 6th will see Outpost: Black Sun hit Blu-ray and DVD from XLrator Media. Personally I thought the first Outpost film was decent fun, although it didn't really live up to its complete potential. I am hoping that Black Sun will rectify this, and from what I have seen it looks good so far. Included on the release will be a 'making of' feature.

Director:
Steve Barker
Cast:
Catherine Steadman (Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, The Tudors), Richard Coyle (Prince of Persia, W.E., Grabbers) Julian Wadham (The Iron Lady, Outpost, The English Patient, The Madness of King George), Daniel Caltagirone (Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life, The Reeds), Gary McDonald (The Shepherd, Tic), Ali Craig (Pelican Blood), Nick Nevern (Terry, The Deep) and Johnny Meres (The Little Vampire, Outpost)

Logline:  The year is 1945, the closing stages of WWII, and a German scientist is working on a frightening new technology that has the power to create an immortal Nazi army. Flash-forward to present day, and a NATO task force is deployed to Eastern Europe, where a sinister enemy is mercilessly killing everything in its path. But this is no ordinary foe…it’s a super-human army of zombie Nazi Stormtroopers. Defying overwhelming odds, a small band of soldiers venture deep behind enemy lines to uncover the source of this evil power and prevent the rise of the Fourth Reich.

Thanks for posting on Outpost: Black Sun, Lord of Filth! I totally agree with you on the first film. It was a good movie, but there was potential for so much more. I just saw that Black Sun was available on Blu-Ray. I added it to the top of my DISH Blockbuster @Home, and I should have it this weekend. I’m having a few of my DISH coworkers over for movie night on Saturday, and we all love zombie horror. If this movie is as good as the first, I will be happy, but I have my fingers crossed for something better.
